Stayed here for a night in late November. Staff at reception was helpful. Our room was not ready since we arrived early. Staff provided us with some advice and we headed off to do the dove lake walk first. After checking in, we found the room to be big and spacious. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was... more

The negative reviews given for the Chateau on Trip Advisor skewed very much to the extreme. We, a party of 3 adults and a 1+ year old child from Singapore, stayed at the most basic room on the right wing of the Chateau (right next to the exit door to the next section of the hotel) from 17 to 19... more

Ambience: for a relatively new building with a bland interior I thought it did manage to generate a lodge-type atmosphere. The bar area had two fires, lots of comfy lounges, and a billiard table. Each of the two wings of the hotel has a library, again with couches and a fire. Rooms: We had a deluxe spa room. Pretty standard... more

Excellent location, very convenient and lots of short walks. Many wild life around, in-house restaurant was great. Not too impressed with the in-house spa though, the masseuse/beautician was not very good. more

We stayed for a weekend getaway in the King Spa rooms - touted as the best! The room was ok, very cold and split level bedroom was dark. We got no sleep the first night as we could hear the guy next door snoring all night. The hallways got very noisy very early with staff trying to cleam rooms etc.... more

We had the King Spa room which looked liked the interior of Flag Inn circa 1989. The walls were paper thin so had the pleasure of no sleep thanks to the bloke snoring next door. For the price did not appreciate having to cough up an additional $25 for breakfast which turned out to be about the quality of a... more

Cradle Mountain Chateau is certainly pricey but it does look impressive upon driving up the slope. Yes, you can hear the next room but after long hours hiking, we were all knocked out at night so it didn't matter. The buffet was alright - just 2 nights eating the same stuff wasn't so interesting. But the massage was great! Just... more

Cradle Mountain is a cheaply built, very expensive hotel in a beautiful setting, the edge of a National Park. You first notice the cheapness in the hotel room doors, that, as a previous reviewer noted, allow the sound in the hallways to permeate your room. The room itself feels cheap and there is not much soundproofing in the walls either.... more

Really really disappointed with this hotel. Far too expensive for what you get. The deluxe spa room has two double beds as standard, it takes up the whole room!!! The "balcony" is a tiny space not suitable for two people to stand. The acoustics are horrendous, you absolutely can hear your next door neighbour cough, and I pity the poor... more
