A few points to clarify for future guests . . . as the issues with hot water and lights mentioned are not 'typical' but unfortunate temporary problems. * We discovered the problem with the hot water and fixed a seized valve while these guests stayed. * corridors are all lit with sensor-activated lighting, the trip switch was malfunctioning, this problem...

We loved our time here so much, we are definitely coming back for more. The food is the best we have ever had.... The atmosphere is incredible, the walks on the beach so relaxing. We loved such an amazing place and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favour and "Go " more

Our visit to Hawley House was well worth the drive. The views from our rooms upstairs in the main house were wonderful and were very large clean and comfortable probably the best accommodation of our 2 trips to Tassie and we didn't skimp on our chioces, staying in many upmarket places. Hawley House was a great place to stay with quirky features and lovely hosts. We stayed in the main house so we had access to the "bath on the roof" which we used on our last night and found it to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we've had in our travels. Hawley House prides herself in an informal and friendly atmosphere and is first and foremost a family home. We aim to serve the best and freshest of local and homegrown produce on a daily changing 4-course Menu. We ONLY serve Eye Fillet Steak, which is never tough, the best cut available, and prawns are unpurged in keeping with our unfussed...

Please do stay at Hawley House, nr. Devonport, Tasmania, for total relaxation and peace. It’s what I’d call a boutique hotel, a little eccentric, and the family so friendly, informal and lovely. Good veggie meals. Amazing spot just across from Hawley Beach - beautiful gardens, romantic rooms with a view. Absolutely magical. A must. Val Marchant & Chris Bourne more

My wife and I stayed at Hawley House outside Devonport Tasmania last month. Tasmania is glorious, clean fresh air and sunshine with wonderfully fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood. My visits to Hawley House are an escape from the real world. The gardens, the lakes, the animals, the birds and the beach combine with fine accommodation, food and wine to create a perfect getaway. Thank you Houghton family. I will be back. Maria S. more
