We went back to Brickendon and stayed in Gardener's Cottage , the place where my wife and i got engaged some 14 year ago. Both love the charm and history and want to come back with the kids. Such a romantic location. Everything you need is supplied from breakfast provisions to laundry and fire place.

We chose here to for our night as we thought it would be interesting. It was indeed, for us city folks. Lovely animals where we had the chance to participate in their feeding session in the morning. The sheep and the horses along the main path in the farm were especially friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves playing with animals and... More

This accommodation was certainly different and gave a perspective of life in the "olden days" for farm employees. The estate is certainly historic and very interesting with lovely peaceful countryside views. If you prefer 5 star accommodation this is not for you, but I couldn't fault the continental breakfast provisions and the comfy bed. Chickens poking around below the verandah... More

We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage and just loved it. The restoration is excellent, keeping the colonial feel and providing modern conveniences. Our hosts and staff could not have been more helpful. this was a perfect escape from city life - so peaceful and scenic.

We stayed here in July, in the coachman house, we had a late arrival at around 5pm, the reception was closed, we had to find the house on our own, but the direction was clear, and even comes with Chinese! Which is a nice touch! The Coachman house is a quite big house with quite a long history since 1900... More

Dear Oscar Thank you very much for your review of Brickendon. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay in the Coachmans Cottage which is the same cottage that Eason Chan your famous pop star stayed in! You will be pleased to know we are just replacing the tv's in all cottages with a larger digital ones but you... More

This is a great place to stay for families with kids and for animal lovers. We stayed in Sweetcorn cottage, very cozy, comfortable furniture, good beds. The cottage is quite big, there is enough space for a big family or two couples. We stayed here for two nights, the last two of our holiday before flying back, really wished we... More

This property is absolutely beautiful. For us, it is why we love Tasmania. A bit wild, rough, but beautiful. My boys LOVED the animals. We spent 2 days petting and running around after shep, ducks, chickens, and even the cat that liked to visit our cabin. Excellent views off our back porch too, and a nice little back yard. We... We recently spent a night in Pumpkin Cottage. After years of driving past Brickendon , my partner booked us in for a night here instead of staying in Launceston as we usually do when we need a bed in the north of the state. We loved it. The cottage is cute, comfortable, and cosy- the view from the back verandah... More

We have stayed 3 times already over the past 2 years - Pumpkin cottage once and Coachmans twice. We have loved every minute of it. We come to relax, not answer phones and take in the beauty that is provided for us. Louise is just wonderful and both cottages are very different to each other but we love them both.... More

We stayed in the Gardeners Cottage which was wonderful. However, pretty much everything else was closed at the farm. If you want to taste farm living this is perfect, but dont expect anything more than a nice cottage.

We love having guest during the winter months and we often find them curled up in front of the fire, just enjoying the atmoshphere. We have our Heritage Gardens and Farm Village open however as we are a temperate climate, the gardens are not in bloom but we do have some amazing trees that are over 180 years old. The... More
