Having spent a few hours driving north in the heaving rain from a very wet Wineglass Bay, it was positively a sign when we arrived to the blue skies of Scamander and the warm welcome we received from the Pelican Sands. The room was very simple but clean, the views were lovely. We loved the breakfast basket delivered to our room and had everything we needed to do our own cooking. The best thing about Pelican Sands is definitely the restaurant, the food was on par with some of the best restaurants in Tasmania. Beautiful beach on your doorstep to go... more
Pelican sands has the most incredible views and location. Sleepy little town on this georgous long walk forever beach. Its literally steps outside the room to the beach. The rooms are just ok, very generic cement block vacation villa circa 1950 but the location more than makes up for it. And then the best part...they just opened a restaurant on... more
