Lovely old world charm. Overseas staff tried to be helpful. The guest lounges were comfortable with an open fire when we visited. Included was a nice breakfast. The freshly baked pastries were particularly good. Parking is limited and we had to park in the street after returning one evening. The Risby Cove Restaurant which is within walking distance was not that great.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely old hotel which is a short walk from the centre of Strahan. The room was good, though the bathroom could do with being updated. The breakfast was nice enough but there could have been more variety. Parking was within the hotel grounds.

Room was great, bed was comfy, parking good, and the complimentary breakfast was good. The service from reception, bar, breakfast and room servicing was good (and a lot of the people have multiple roles!). We stayed for 2 nights and arrived late on the first night having taken a long time to drive from Hobart. Too many interesting stops in beautiful rainforest along the way. They say there are 99 bends in the road between Queenstown and Strahan, but on this drive I think we did many many more! Franklin Manor is a bit out of town (like 600m) which doesn’t sound much unless it’s raining hard ( which it was for us). Recommendations were given as to where to eat but to be honest only 1 or 2 are reasonable quality, if not very pricey for what you get. We found there’s not too much to do in Strahan if you are not on the boat trip, but the falls right next to Franklin Manor was a pleasant surprise.…

Very welcoming staff (shout out to Jack). Lovely old world charm with comfortable rooms. The house has amazing history possibly with a ghost or two! Lovely breakfast. Great local information and walking distance to the centre of Strahan. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an old building so inevitably has some quirks but that also lends it a charming feel. Our welcome at reception was most effusive with a quick tour of the main public rooms and a mini-history lesson! Our room was somewhat on the small side - particularly the washing and toilet facilities - but this is just a consequence of it being a converted residence. In general the [place feels as though it needs a little bit of tlc. Breakfast was good and the weird German teapot a notable feature! Dinner is not available at the moment but I gather that there is consideration being given to making it an offer in the future. This would be good news if it happens (and the quality is up to scratch) since decent dining options in Stahan are somewhat thin on the ground. Parking was a bit difficult on one night during our stay but the alternative to the hotel's parking area is just below on the road so not a great incionvenience.…

Beautiful old house with tasteful furnishings. The rooms were upstairs and the surroundings were wooded. Our room was very comfortable and clean. They provided a continental breakfast which was delicious, since there was a platter of meats, cheese and fruit as well as cereals and breads. They had a bar and two lounges to sit in.

This location is a little out of town toward Regatta Point. Parking is a bit of an issue if they are busy as only 10 allotted bays but believe capacity is 13 . Room servicing was a real let down, window sills coated in dust above bed. Rubbish bin and recycling not emptied in the three days of our stay. Shower temperature variable in the extreme. Given our extensive stay in Tasmania this was the worst location by far. The one strong positive was the other staff, helpful and welcoming and truly upholding Tasmania's hospitality reputation.

A beautiful historic home and gardens. Coming up the driveway you are greeted by this home that the photos do not do it justice. Greeted by the staff and shown around with a history lesson of past owners. Stay for two nights for a romantic interlude.

The gentleman staffing the front desk stayed late so that we could check in. He was extremely kind, cheerful, and helpful. The room was very nice with a nice long bathtub and a view of the garden. Yes it is an old place and could use a bit of freshening (We heard they are planning changes), but given its historical status, I was expecting that. The “privacy Tassie devil” was a cute touch. The breakfast was wonderful as well, and the staff there was very cheerful. Would stay again for sure.

Such a lovely, quiet and romantic manor in Strahan. I couldn’t be happier, the service was exceptional, the location was walking distance to everything and the breakfast was magnificent! It was such a historical and cosy manor, the fireplaces were lit in the evening, it was as if it took me back in time. The staff also helped recommend the best tours and experiences in town. Such a great experience!
