We have just had a wonderful experience staying at the Sofitel Werribee Mansion for my husband's 50th Birthday. Our bookings were somewhat complicated, but with one small exception went off without a hitch. Our rooms were cool despite the horrendous temperatures outside which hit 45 degrees. First of all let me say I have an aversion to Sofitel Hotels as a brand. I have stayed in them at all sorts of places years ago and they just are not a 5 star hotel brand but charge accordingly. I did not stay at the Werribee Mansion - I was a guest at a Wedding and spent an entire day there literally with my family. I went to the Sofitel with my boyfriend earlier this year and it was fantastic. The location is great, very peaceful and the gardens of the Mansion are gorgeous.
