We have just had a wonderful experience staying at the Sofitel Werribee Mansion for my husband's 50th Birthday. Our bookings were somewhat complicated, but with one small exception went off without a hitch. Our rooms were cool despite the horrendous temperatures outside which hit 45 degrees. First of all let me say I have an aversion to Sofitel Hotels as a brand. I have stayed in them at all sorts of places years ago and they just are not a 5 star hotel brand but charge accordingly.
