I have been staying at this place now for roughly five years. I have stayend at several different places such as The Commadore, Edgewater Hotel, D&D cottage rentals to name a few; what I like best about the Islander Inn is number one the balcony rooms; they are so relaxing to sit on the balcony and enjoy a beverage while... Ive stayed at the Islander before and believe me this was the worst yet. I requested a room that I've staed in many times before and the women said theyd see, now I made the reservation 8 months ago. They didn't give me the room I wanted they gave me a room that was a rat hole, she said it... More

Wish I had been the one to book the room for our stay because I sure would've checked the reviews. Believe me! The others who took time to write the reviews are VERY correct! WHAT A DIVE! Dirty linens left the the hallway for days, nasty stained carpet in the elevator, stained linens, the staff could have cared less if... More

THe worst hotel I have ever stayed at, the staff was very rude. The hotel had a horrible smell and the carpet needs to be ripped up...filthy. The mattress in the room was extremely uncomfortable also. Not worth 250 per night maybe 79.00 at best. Yes I get that it's Put in Bay but c'mon pull it together!

Islander inn, putin bay is an average hotel at best and not worth the heafty price tag. The room was o.k. but didn't get and maid service during our stay, which put us off compleatly. The shower was weak and needed updating.Over all this would be a 2 star and an $89 room.

Do yourself a favor & DON'T stay here - unless of course you enjoy dirty shabby rooms & even shabbier grounds, idiotic staff that don't seem to know anything & a high price. The Splash bar doesn't serve wine? really it's 2012 a LOT of people drink wine. & for those people that don't drink they can't even offer a... More

Unfortunately, we had bad weather so we did not get to use the pool but everything looked nice. The staff were all very nice and helpful. It is definitely a party hotel, but I think that is the primary reason people seem to go to Put in Bay. The room was just ok. There were no smells like others have... More

Located a short walking distance from the ferry, this hotel is nested back in a sea of other hotels. The price is decent if you plan ahead and have 4 to a room. The crowd is young and the atmosphere is wild! I wouldn't stay here if you are looking for a peaceful visit. There are three pools and a... More

I would definitely stay here again! The pools were amazing! The staff were all so friendly, especially with the amount of people that were there! I couldn't believe how packed the swim up bar was! My girlfriends and I had such an amazing time. I read some of the other reviews. Yes, by 3am there were beer bottles around, but... More

Sorry, had the wrong hotel. But all applies to the grand islander, not the islander inn. For the money, not worth it. But the staff was very nice. I think his hotel needs to police their guest a lot more. Too much damage for a newer place.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Islander Inn is Put-in-Bay's first and largest Caribbean style resort. We have 115 rooms surrounding 4 swimming pools including a large heated pool, conversation pool with a waterfall, 30 person jacuzzi as well as our swim-up-bar pool. The Islander Inn also features the island's original swim-up bar, The Dizzy Lizard. The Dizzy has 9 seats in the water and and seats on land. This is the bar that changed how afternoons were spent on Put in Bay. At the back of our courtyard sits Crash Landings, a bar with an airplane crashed into the top of it. Both of these are open from mid May through mid September, weather permitting. Located between the Islander Inn and our sister hotel, the Grand Islander, sits Put-in-Bay's #1 afternoon hotspot Splash! Splash is the World's Largest Swim-up Bar. We have 97 bar seats in the water and 120 chaise lounge chairs outside of the pool for sunbathing. With live entertainment on the weekends and plenty of other fun during the week, Splash is definitely the place to cool off and have a cold drink with your best friends. Overlooking Splash is The Flaming Skull. The Skull is a full scale pirate ship that sits next to Splash. Guests can walk up on the deck and watch out over the pool while having a drink at the 80 seat bar. Get your picture taken with the captain so your friends will believe you when you say you were on a pirate ship on Put-in-Bay. We are located right in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay and are within walking distance to most of the major attractions. Should you want to explore the island a little more, we do have golf carts available for rent at our Front Desk with some of the lowest rates on the island. You can rent a cart for a couple hours or go all day if you want. ... more   less
