We stayed two nights at the Guestkeeper Inn in November of 2007. It's a nice little independent motel, in the roadside motel tradition. We had a comfortable ground floor room with a queen size bed for $50 per night. Included in that terrific rate was a continental breakfast, but we didn't take advantage of it because Van Wert has so many nice little mom & pop restaurants and bakeries. The room was clean and neat. It had a mini fridge and microwave, a personal size coffee maker, a hair dryer, cable TV, a desk area, and a reclining chair. The fixtures were slightly worn around the edges, but adequate for such affordable rates. The motel advertises free wi-fi and free HBO, although we couldn't find HBO on the dial. The water in the shower was hot and plentiful. The mattress was comfortable and the sheets and pillowcases were clean.
