I enjoyed our stay. The architecture is unique, and Mr Wright wasn't too concerned about convenience or practicality. So that's what you should expect if you stay here -- a very interesting, unusual room in a fascinating building. But it's not convenient (tiny elevators, unusual angles everywhere), and never was. There's nothing the hotel can do about that, and that's... more

What a wonderful and unusual experience, to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed property, particularly his only real high-rise building. That's what Price Tower offers. We paid $178 (rate plus lugs) for a 13th floor room on a hot Saturday. Included was a simple continental breakfast served in dining rooms and outdoor patios near the top of the building. The... more

On a road trip the Inn at Price Tower came up as a unusual option. We selected it for the architecture and thoroughly enjoyed our stay for both the architecture and the wonderful feeling just being in the room. If you are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan definitely stay. If you don't like quirky or want basic, you may be... more

We spent a weekend at Price Tower. It was an amazing experience. We stayed in a normal room on the eighth floor and had a great view of downtown Barltesville. The rooms are very modern in style yet hold true to many of Wright's design principles. We purchased a package deal that included admission to Woolaroc, the Price Tower Arts... more

My husband totally surprised me with a getaway to the Inn at Price Tower over Valentine's weekend. We only stayed one night but it was a really a great place to explore and relax. The room was artfully designed and the bathroom, while small, had some great details like radiant heating in the floor and a great light in the... more

Okay, so it's not perfect but c'mon it's a Frank Lloyd Wright bldg. Very unique. I stayed in one of the standard rooms on the 13th floor on a Monday night. Restaurant was closed on Monday's. Bed was great. Room large and clean. Towels were fantastic. You can actually open the windows - wide - in this place. No full... more

We stayed in one of the suites for two nights at the end of August. My husband is a huge Frank Lloyd Wright fan and he was in heaven! The King-size bed in our room was very comfortable and provided two wonderful night's sleep. The flat screen TVs upstairs and downstairs were nice. The bathrooms, one half bath downstairs and... more

What a unique alternative to the usual chain of hotels! I'll start with the positives: The style is very Jetsons, it's like stepping back in time to see what the future was dreamt to be like. You won't find a large check-in desk with the usual concierge and crew, but the 2 people I met were exceptionally friendly and helpfull.... more

We stayed in September the year they opened this to guests, 2004?. It was perfect. Now, in June 2008. Some disappointments! The copper pipes on the room furniture had corrosion. The carpet had stains that could be viewed from the bed, not the entrance to the room Signs inside of the elevators, indicating the Copper Rest floor, looked to be... more

Management response from

Since this date, the Inn at Price Tower has hired executive chef Greg Shocklee for the Copper Restaurant with experience managing restaurants and producing elegant dishes all over the West and Midwest. A new menu will be unveiled in December 2008. Also, a new General Manager for the Inn has come on board and is preparing to upgrade the carpeting,...

This is a unique opportunity to tour and then spend the night in the only high-rise structure (called a "skyscraper", but not very tall by today's standards) Frank Lloyd Wright ever designed. The building is one of Wright's late masterpieces, originally designed as an office with apartments and brilliantly updated in the Wright style to accommodate a museum in the... more
