The home is absolutely beautiful. We loved all of the Christmas decorations. We really enjoyed our room and all of the personal touches. Our only complaint was that it was really loud from 9 o'clock until midnight. The other guests weren't loud, it was the innkeeper and staff along with young children. We enjoyed our stay, but thought the property had good and bad points. The staff was very nice and helpful. The house is very historic and the parlor and front rooms are lovely. The rooms themselves are okay. I would say the website's photos are accurate. The linens could be nicer. But the only truly bad thing about it was... more

Elegant stay, Questionable area--- I had a wonderful stay here. Most comfortable stay ever and have stayed downtown in very nice hotels. My room was beautiful and immaculate. I had cozy sheets and blankets, great pillows (and lots of them) and the owners were friendly and more than accomodating. There is a small kitchen open to guests upstairs. I loved... more

Thank you for the kind words. Happily I can now report that any lingering element of neighborhood concern has been eliminated. At the time of this review there were some questionable apartment communities nearby. All have since been bought and are in the process of being remodeled into high end condos.
