Our experience with the Driftwood Motel. We called ahead for reservations based on your Tour Book's 2 diamond rating, and were greeted by the rudest, most confrontational person of our considerable years of motel experience. The woman was upset that we rang for service while she was watching TV; she was really upset when we asked to see a room before proceeding; she did not like that I offerred my American Express card; and she flew off the handle when my wife suggested that the 8 o'clock time for breakfast might be later than we needed. At this point, we opted to find different lodging. more
