We began going to The Waves years ago. It has been a few years in between visits this past time, but it was just as we remembered it, except recently updated. NICE to find it has not gone downhill instead. We enjoy the quiet, sitting in our room watching the ocean. There is no sound except for the waves and... More

The Waves is a fine quality, family-owned & operated motel, right at the beach and a block from the pedestrian-friendly row of interesting shops and restaurants. Although it happened to be cloudy and occasionally drizzly the 3 days we were there, we were able to take relaxing walks on the beach, just across the street, and find some good restaurants... More

Because the weather was so nice, we decided on a last minute road trip. We arrived in Cannon Beach and stayed at The Waves in a King-studio room from Jan 10-12th. The room was terrific. Beautiful views of the ocean, a fireplace, comfy overstuffed chair and a kitchenette. The king size bed was very comfortable - I actually slept through... More

My husband and I stayed here one night in an oceanfront king room. pros: The view is amazing, a corner full of windows looking straight out over the ocean (you can watch the waves from the bed). Comfortable chairs and a nice kitchenette. Lots of windows and natural light. I loved the fireplace. The overall room was very clean. The... More

We stayed at the Waves in June of 2011. Had a great experience and the room was more than i expected. We didnt have an ocean view room but out room was very close to the beach. We could hear the waves from our room. Great Value and excellent service! Highly recommend and would stay there again! More

Very quiet, great help (super nice and helpful groundsman, THANKS Rick!), pretty good value ($160 a night for a one bedroom place at The White Heron). Right on the beach, although no view to Haystack. Couldn't really ask for much more. Can't comment on other personnel because we had little to do with the staff other than check in and... More

We stayed here just one night several years ago on an Oregon to California trip and vowed to return. We are so glad we did! We had a King Flagship studio for 4 nights and watched eagles fishing on the sandbar just yards away and saw the almost full moon come up one night and then set into the ocean... More

We spent a few days a the Waves in their La Colina Queen Studio room. The room was clean but musty smelling. We have previously stayed in other rooms that were better. More

Thank you for joining us over your Thanksgiving holiday. I am sorry that the room had a musty odor but hopefully that disapated as the room warmed up. We were remiss in not opening and heating the room prior to your arrival and I am sure that the cold raining days of November didn't help. We are now checking this... More
