Ya' know... The room was the smallest I've been in for a couple of decades. As the other reviewers state, it was very clean with pretty new fixtures etc. BUT - I have NOT stayed in a room without air-conditioning since sometime in the 1950's! We stayed in the Coos Bay Super 8 recently and it was not as advertised. I have to admit, when I pulled into the parking lot I was not impressed. In fact, I was a little depressed. From the outside this looks like your run of the mill Super 8. You drive up to the rooms or go up the stairs to the second floor. The parking lot seemed to have a lot of people... more

The person at the front desk said that this hotel was under two months old when we visited it. The room we stayed in was small, but the bed was large and comfortable. And we would rather have it that way than the reverse. Our room also had a refrigerator, flat screen TV on the wall and a small coffee... more

This was perhaps the cleanest Super 8 I've stayed in. It seemed like it's newer, along the main drag going through Coos Bay...it's seemingly right in the middle of the highway, at the location where it splits. Checking in was quick and easy...the staff was polite and gave special attention to my request for a quiet part of the motel.... more

This Super 8 is brand spankin new, so it's an esp. awesome deal right now. Flat screen TV, immaculate rooms, super comfy bed and crisp linens, fantastic shower head, free wireless...You just can't go wrong. We arrived at dinner time on July 4 and motels in town were filling up fast. They wanted $119 which we thought was ridiculous based on nice motels we have stayed at. We stayed at this Super 8 because we try to stay at hotels that we are familiar with. It had just opened days before we arrived. New king size bed and flat screen tv. And the room was luxurious! The staff was exceptional and very helpful. We hope to stay there again the next time we are in the area.... more
