This one started out rough as we asked to be put in a quiet room, but then got a family of 5 with 3 boys under 10 next door. They were screaming within five minutes and they added the bonus of dooring my new vehicle. Luckily, no damage. We asked for a room change and I raised my voice a... more

I booked the family room,- 2q beds and 1 seperate room with king bed. The room smelled awful, was not clean, the toilet kept running---so I fixed it. Light bulbs were out, the tub had black hairs in it, the floor was dirty. While putting on my makeup the first morning, something dripped on me---it was condensation on the old... more

We booked two rooms through Hotwire and were given a pretty reasonable rate ($90 each room). Unfortunately that is where the deal ended. I had requested through Hotwire, one king bed for one room and two queens for the second room. When we arrived I was told although that information is taken through Hotwire, it is not guaranteed. As we... more

My husband and I stayed in the hotel the night of 1 August. We decided to stay in what we thought was a first-class hotel because we were in town to visit a very ill friend and we wanted a really comfortable place to relax in between visits. From the time we arrived it was one mishap after the other.... more

First the receptionist gave us keys to an occupied room, then joked about it when we came to the office for an explanation and a different room--no apology. Our new room was next to the staff laundry room, they arrived at 0600 and talked/laughed and played loud music just outside our door. The hotel was nice, staff/admin were AWFUL! As... more

Coos Bay is right on the Oregon coast and the place itself isn't all that attractive. The Red Lion is a Motel style of place which doesn't really do it for me anyway but as far as motels go, The Red Lion was fine. We had a large room with a good bathroom. Everything worked so no complaints. more

Overall it was a very good experience. The outside of the building looks very dated but the grounds are well kept and when we got into the room itself, it was quite nice for the price. The room was quiet, even with many young adults checking in for a regional Olympics try out. Didn't have breakfast included but you could... more

We were given a room that seemed to be abutting some kind of boiler room or air compressor... it was so loud we barely slept at all that night. Secondly, the restaurant was absolutely disgusting. The milk was curdled and the food was inedible. I have stayed in coos bay at least 50 times, but that was the first and... more

I guess I have come to expect that there will be coffee and a free paper in the lobby. I was told that coffee was available in the restaurant, and that papers are only available during the week. The pool was closed (understandable in Oregon in March) and the spa was down for repair (disappointing). I ended up at the... more

I booked a room, online, with two queen beds for two nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. The cost was just under $90/night. When we pulled in the exterior of the Red Lion looked outdated and in need of some upgrading or at least a fresh coat of paint. Once we entered the room we were very pleased to see that... more
