The rooms in this older house are nice, small and firm beds, some railroad noise at all hours. Soap pick -up at front door -really? Richard was a friendly host and helpful with the bikes - the best feature is the nearby path to the U of O. The surrounding neighborhood is not one for walking at night. Get the... more

Was traveling to Eugene for business and after searching for accommodations at hotels which all looked sort of boring, I decided to investigate bed and breakfast establishments. A River Walk Inn caught my eye because the innkeepers offer their guests use of bicycles, helmets, and locks during their stay, and the inn is located at the entrance of Jacobs Park... more

We were looking for a B&B in a neighborhood with character, not downtown and nightlife; a place with a small town feel and historic interest. The River Walk Inn B&B exceeded our expectations. It is a family home built in the 1930s for a family with 6 children (!!), updated with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, with lush flower and vegetable... more

We took our teenage daughter to visit the University of Oregon at "Duck Days" last weekend. After a long 7 hour car ride we learned two things. First, was that 7 hours away from home was actually an attraction for our daughter in choosing a college. Second, was that the River Walk Inn was worth the drive. The grounds were... more

We stayed here on a trip through Oregon. The street and house were both lovely. We were looking forward to a comfortable stay. When we arrived, Donna the host was busy doing some other work. She ignored us then finally showed us to our room. When I inquired about a gluten free breakfast, she told me that this would inconvenience... more

I commute on a regular basis between my home in NW Oregon to my company's headquarters office in Eugene. I spend upwards of 26 nights a year in Eugene. For a year or so, I stayed in rather sterile hotels in the area. In 2007, I decided to seek out a lodging option that was both conveniently located to work... more

Firm beds, great breakfasts (could have been bigger for my husband, but great for me), wonderful proximity to the park and downtown. Loved being able to use their cruiser bikes for getting around. Very friendly and helpful host/hostess. Beautiful yard/garden, very relaxing. more

Beautiful rooms, decent food, but serious and troublesome problems. This property is located in a neighborhood which might be fine if you have a car, but is at least unpleasant (and possibly unsafe) to walk through. It is very far from the things one needs to get to in Eugene (they told me an easy bus ride to U of... more

The best way to describe our week at "the River Walk Inn" was that when we left we felt like we were leaving home to go home. Donna and Richard made us all feel at home all week . They provided bikes to ride on the great Trail System of Eugene. The food was fantastic. The beds were like sleeping... more

Donna and Richard are wonderful hosts; they are pleasant to talk to. They have a lovely home. The temperature of the house was quite comfortable, for a historic house and I didn't notice a lot of air blowing out of vents. We visited during Christmas and their house was very nicely decorated. While we were there, they told us that... more
