The staff is very friendly. I loved being so close to the mall. The walking path is quite nice. Nice pool. Excellent price with Entertainment Book...and included breakfast and cocktails. We didn't have our dog with us...but, we have travelled with a dog before and appreciate a hotel that allows pets. If travelling with a child, be sure to visit... more

I used to LOVE this property, so it is very sad to see it in such disrepair. It is a great location - right on the river - but it has literally gone to the dogs. Reported a barking dog below me and that I had gotten 4 flea bites the night before. The reponse from the front desk was... more

I lived in Eugene many years ago & the Valley River Inn was THE place -- elegant & posh. I've been back to Eugene many times over the past 24 years, & mostly have stayed here. Tried the Hilton once, was disappointed, & returned to my faithful VR Inn. Well ... it's slowly & sadly declined to the point that... more

I made a reservation with the Valley River Inn about 30 days ago. My daughter and I were driving from northern California back to Seattle, and we had decided we'd stop in Eugene for the night. After getting a later then anticipated start and running into a bunch of traffic, it became apparent that we would not be arrivng until... more

We priceline'd this one for $50 bucks. If you already have a reservation at The Valley River Inn (poor soul), stop by the sporting goods store in the mall, across from the hotel, pick up a 2 person tent and camp riverside (also adjacent to the hotel). Do not check into this place. Our room was on the first floor... more

I stayed at this hotel recently for the first (and hopefully only) time. At $149 per night, it was not a bargain, and I was expecting more. The staff and service were fine, but the room was a bit worn and tattered, and what really turned me off was when I looked in the shower saw not only some mold/mildew... more

Stayed at the Valley River Inn for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Staff was incredibly nice, room was clean and up to date. We really enjoyed our balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast at Stillwaters was delicious. I had taken my bike with me buy my boyfriend borrowed one from the hotel, rode it for 2 days free of... more

I booked a room here for this last weekend (4/25) so my Hubby and I could get away from Portland and explore Eugene. I got the room by bidding on priceline and thank goodness I didn't pay full price. I would have been mad. Also not paying full price you don't get to CHOOSE the hotel or I would not... more

This hotel is not good at all. I stayed in the governor's suite due to the fact that it was newly remodeled. We attached a queen/queen room to it. The carpets were stained and the furniture looked old and stinky. The decor was hideous. We discovered mold growing in both bathrooms. My friend who was staying in the queen/queen room... more
