We stayed in May and were very happy with our choice. Nice, welcoming lobby, our room was in the back and quiet even though we were on a main street. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Very close to Old Town Florence so we could walk to shop and eat. We recommend it as one of the best value places to... more
I can't say if I would recommend this property to a friend, unless it was a really close friend who I knew was on a budget and wasn't too picky. I'm normally not very picky, and I was on a budget for this New Year's Eve/Day trip, but I was disappointed in our room just the same. Got a great... more
We always welcome all reviews (even the not-so-good). So we are sorry to hear you did not have a great stay at our inn. Room 16 is a difficult room, but it is one of only two smoking rooms we have remaining in the entire place. So, if a person wants a smoking room, often 16 is the one available....
We had room 27 which is in the back. It had 2 queen size comfortable beds, table & 2 chairs, small fridge & microwave, clean bathroom and was big enough for me and my 17 yr old & 20 yr old plus our luggage. There are games that you can borrow from the lobby. And best of all Nature's Corner... more
We spent two nights at the Lighthouse Inn. It's an older property, but clean and in good condition. We had a double room with refrigerator and microwave. The motel is right on the 101, but our room was on the back side and we didn't notice much road noise. It was a bit noisy due to the guests above us,... more
At first we were hesitant to reserve here since the hotel seemed old. Yes it was, but the rooms we had (10 and 11) were recently renovated, and quite tastefully. The old character of the hotel remained which added to its charm. The place is like a bed and breakfast but without the breakfast. We were very pleasantly surprised. It... more
Our stay was very recent, and the staff was very friendly upon our arrival. They were very accomodating in allowing us to park our 'moving' truck on-site, and giving us a nice quiet room in the back. The rooms are dated, but remember, this is a vintage hotel. The water is hot for showering, the beds are comfortable. the in-room... more
After driving all day, we got to Florence on a Friday night and there was nowhere that had vacancy. Finally found that the Lighthouse Inn had a room. The outside looked old, but the desk staff (the owners) were very friendly and helpful. The decor of the rooms was old and quaint. Reminded us of grandma's bedroom. Don't stay here... more
We actually tried to stay across the street from the Lighthouse but were put off by the staff. Our greeting by the Lighthouse (Inn) keepers was so warm and friendly, after a long day of sight seeing it was very nice. Our room had private parking and an outside entrance which we appreciated. The older decor has been updated enough... more
My husband and I recently took a road trip down 101 from Washington State to Santa Cruz, Ca. We stayed mostly at B&B's, and inns along the way. For a couple of the towns we chose cheaper accomodations. The Lighthouse Inn was our first stop on the coast. I was slightly wary just from the low price but was pleasently... more
