Overpriced and very sub standard. Toilet didn't flush correctly and my daughter in law woke up with itchy bites on her arms! The pictures on the internet advertising are deceiving. Checkout people were not helpful. 3 women had to manhandle suitcases to the 2 floor. We had planned to stay for three days, but checked out the first morning there.... more

I have never stayed in florence before, usually I stay in newport or Lincoln city. I decided to give Driftwood a chance, because it was a nice location. The location was the ONLY selling point about this hotel. The bed was uncomfortable, and only had 2 pillows! So I had to order some more. Our tv ended up breaking- luckily... more

We stayed at the Driftwood Shores for a two-night stay on October 13 & 14. Driftwood Shores on-site restaurant has very good food as well, again with a beautiful ocean front view. I would recommend a hotel stay during the months of September and early October when the weather is sunny and mostly clear. Check out Historic Old Town in... more

It was a fogged-in Central Oregon Coast but we headed south, enjoyed the town of Florence and checked local literature for places along the coast. Driftwood is very grey and plain on a grey day. Sure, a view of the ocean from every room on a non-foggy day. No WiFi, despite our being given a box with a signal booster... more

We stayed two nights at the Driftwood Shores. The weather wasn't very cooperative, so we didn't take much advantage of the beachfront location. The hotel is a ways away from old town, but is quite close to the Sandpines golf course. The room was good-sized, clean, and equipped with refrigerator and microwave. We were happy to find there were laundry... more

We stayed at the Driftwood Shores for 4 nights though we originally booked it for 6. It was clean and comfortable but our room was a little small. Staff was friendly for the most part, the food was average and the building is older but quite well kept. Considering some of the reviews we've read we quite enjoyed ourselves. The... more

This hotel is located right on the beach about 2 min drive outside Florence. The views were incredible. Every room has a view. It does have outside corridors to get your room - The outside definitely shows some wear. It's a place to stay with kids. The rooms are clean, spacious, friendly staff. The restaurant was good. The lounge area... more

After returning home from a 5 week vacation touring WA & OR, this was the only hotel which disappointed us, and we do not feel that it is correctly represented on the hotel website. It is more like a holiday camp complex with outdoor corridors to the rooms and although there is an elevator to the upstairs floors, you still... more

We had a very nice stay at the Driftwood. The hotel is older and showing a little wear, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and good value for the money. There was a full kitchen including a full-size fridge, and ample counter space. The beds were soft and comfortable. Best of all was the view out on the... more

If you are planning to stay anytime soon cancel your reservation. There is some seriously noisy utility work going on right in the parking lot, and it doesn't look like it's going to be over soon. My wife and I stayed on May 10, 2008. We booked on Driftwood Shores web page and it said nothing about construction. We were... more
