Steelhead was a good, family run bed and breakfast. It was clean, the staff (or um, family, heh) was friendly, and the location was good. We had originally aimed at staying at Crater Lake's lodge, or someplace closer to the lake but they were completely booked through the summer. We ended up staying at Steelhead, and while it was a couple of hours from the lake (there aren't many alternatives) we were pleasantly surprised at liking the location because the B&B is right on a gorgeous river, it's also on one of America's scenic byways, and there are many trails and waterfalls to be seen between the B&B and Crater Lake. We had no idea about the waterfalls before coming.
I don't know if their art gallery is still running, but there are many paintings throughout the house which are original works done by the owner. She's a fine artist!
