Huntington itself isn't much to look at. "Downtown" is 3 blocks long, and whether or not the locals are friendly depends on how you're percieved. The largest building in town has an old advertisement for the now-defunct Clarks Cafe painted on it that proclaims "ALL WHITE HELP". It says a lot about the town that in all this time nobody has thought to paint over it. When we went into the saloon for a breakfast of bloody mary's and pancakes, we got the evil eye from a group of crusty old timers who asked the owner (loud enough so we could hear) "Do you know these people?". When he said "They're OK, they're fishermen" the old farts seemed placated. Had they noticed the Sierra Club sticker on our hybrid, we would have got the cold shoulder, but since we were there to kill something, we were grudgingly accepted.
