We stopped here for lunch only, and it was delightful. The food was delicious and the setting was really beautiful. The inn is right on the Umpqua River and has a lovely garden right outside the big picture windows of the dining room. The meal was gourmet quality but not too pricey. I hope we'll be able to return someday... More

When my husband and I arrived at Steamboat the owner placed us in a cabin by the river. When we entered the cabin there was an extremely pungent smell, something like sewage. We went back to the office and told the owner who promptly placed us in The Falls cabin which was an extremely nice upgrade. The room had a... More

My husband and I had hiked in the mist all morning and then headed to Steamboat for lunch....so warm and cozy and delicious! Next trip to this area and we will stay here! The folks were friendly and the food delicious. We took one of the famous breakfast cinnamon rolls with us for a snack later. Explore the grounds after... More

We stayed here one night on the way to Crater Lake--we had one of the river houses. It was charming and well appointed and perfect for our stop on the trip for one night. I imagine that anglers would find this a great spot to visit. The house was a steps from a great stretch of the fly fishing only... More

We have mixed feelings about the Inn. Perfect location to enjoy the river. Especially loved sitting on the deck of the cottage, sipping wine, listening and watching the river. Aside from that, do feel it was overpriced. Though clean, cottage was average. Small bathroom with small shower. Average linens and beds. Breakfasts in the the cafe were less than average.... More

We did not stay in the Inn but had breakfast there and walked around the grounds. The food was very good. The Inn looks to be very pleasant in a lovely riverside setting. More

Very good food and friendly people. The North Umpqua river is really a wonderful setting for this inn. More

One of the most charming places I've been to int eh West! Friendly staff and good food, bu the star is the setting on the river and the relative isolation, even though you're right on the highway (a not-busy two-lane that winds through the Umpqua River Valley). The architecture and the landscaping are beautiful and there are certainly no crowds.... More

We loved the cottage, though it was a bit too far from the restaurant. There is nothing around there, so you are kind of stuck eating at the restaurant. The communal meal was good, but not great. No choice of entrees, so make sure that you fill out the detailed questionnaire that they ask you to fill out. Some good... More

This place is absolutely gorgeous and charming. Right out of a movie. We stayed in the house "Haydens Run" and it was well furnished and very clean. Plenty of towels and space for our family of 6. Well maintained. Right next to the river, you can listen to the soothing sound all night. The setting is right smack in the... More
