Single mom traveling with 9 year old boy and 11 year old girl. What a charm to find in Oregon. Stayed at Sonshine Bed & Breakfast. Great place to stay with children. Sonshine is located next to the city park and pool. There's a creek running along the border of the small park. The creek is easily wade-able for children... more

It was a good central location to do The John Day Fossil Beds. We enjoyed watching the birds up close and personal. Everything was great, from the bedroom, to the bathroom and of course the great breakfast. We had friends staying at The Clyde Holiday campground, just of few minutes from us. more

Carolyn provided a... more

We called in the evening with no reservation, and Carolyn's daughter was able to provide us a room (on about 10 minutes notice)! We stayed in the downstairs studio, which for us, with two small children, was just perfect. It is furnished with bunk-beds, a queen bed, and a fully-equipped kitchen. This room wasn't fancy, but it was cozy, and... more

My husband, son and I, along with my parents, recently spent the weekend at Sonshine Bed & Breakfast. Being new to the bed and breakfast scene, we weren't really sure what to expect. Carolyn, the owner, was really friendly and immediately put us at ease as she showed us around and treated us like family. Needless to say, we were... more
