If you see any bad reviews from 2005, ignore 'em. A new owner bought the place in 2007, and he knows his business and understands what hospitality and service are all about. I arranged for 40 members of our family reunion to stay here -- including babies, kids, dogs, handicapped and seniors -- and everyone was pleased with their clean,... more

The owners of this property have done a great job delivering a clean and comfortable property. Yes, this is a hotel which is on the road into town, and there is a railroad track a block away, but after staying in the other main hotels in town, this place has my vote. In fact, I'll be visiting again in a... more

My friend and I stayed at the Travelodge at La Grande last night and I was amazed with the quality of service, cleanliness of the rooms and the amenities provided. It is very easy to get to from the Interstate Highway. They also provide Continental Breakfast in the morning. They provided everything from milk, juice to danish. There is wi-fi... more

Pass on by. Friendly staff but that was only good thing. Small rooms, smelled of bleach, right on main road and train tracks on back side of building so very noisy. Outdated rooms. Will not stay there again. more

Things must have been upgraded here since some previous reviewers wrote their reviews. This isn't a fancy hotel, but my room was clean and the motel owners very friendly and helpful. The only problem was a lack of towels the afternoon I arrived, but that was swiftly corrected. The motel has access to a secure wireless Travelodge network, which was... more

As stated in previous reviews, what can you expect for $50.00 a night ? Well a lot more than this place offers. We got in to town in the evening and were bone tired from a long day of traveling. This was just an overnight stop on our way to Joseph, Oregon. The carpet was filthy, the door had no... more

For $50 we weren't expecting much. But we did expect more than filthy carpet (even when we arrived it was dirty. The maid service was non-existant. The way the maid made the bed was to throw the bed spread over the bed, without straightening anything out. The waste baskets were not dumped, no coffee in the room for the next... more

My husband and I, both "starving students" and budget travelers have spent a great deal of time staying at budget-type hotels all over the United States. Not being that hard to please, I often do not have problems with the hotels we stay in. This hotel, by far, is the worst I have stayed in. The rooms were not clean,... more

I know any hotel in the $50 range is going to have it's weak points, but this hotel seemed to have more weak points than other hotels we've stayed at in this price range. Seemed a little too run down, a little too shabby, a bit too worn. There is no one big thing that detracted from this hotel, just... more

I think their idea of cleaning is changing bedding and fresh towels. Bathroom toilet and shower over due for cleaning. Floors needing vaccumed and room had thick coat of dust. Our mattress was also bad. more
