On our trip across country we carry most of what we need, including breakfast. We appreciated the refrigerator with decent sized freezer to refreeze our ice packs. A good deal of deferred maintenance, but the entire place is clean and well kept, quiet and safe. Much better than the noisy, crowded, bikers drinking in the parking lot, Best Western down the street. 1/2 price the Best Western as well. Not a huge chain either, privately owned by Lakeview locals. I'd recommend this place.

The good: good soundproofing, free wifi, friendly welcome The not-so-good: OLD, strong disinfectant smell, only two pillows Because it hasn't been renovated in who knows how long, it just felt like it wasn't really clean. I'm sure it was, but it just felt a little icky. A little expensive for what it was ($75), but it was available.

We were glad to find this motel in Lakeview. It is reasonably priced and very clean and comfortable. A bit pricey for Lakeview. The room was clean and smoke-free, albeit with old fixtures and furniture. The manager was very friendly and helpful even though we showed up late in the evening with 3 kids.

This motel is next to a main road and within close walking distance of the city center, and a Safeway supermarket. The motel purposefully provides a white rag in the bathroom for guests, after bikers staying at the property would clean their bikes with the towels, soiling them beyond redemption, according to the receptionist. I'm guessing the Interstate 8 Motel has been renovated within the past few years, which accounts for the seemingly brand new tile in the bathroom and the new asphalt in the east (overflow) parking lot.
