One needs to know that the Hot Springs is a common place for the local sherriff to show up and "do his duty", addressing parties, gun fire, "squaters" and frequent "drive in and out" by non-guests. I think that this 'resort' has seen better days. It is OK if you are into rustic and rundown. I believe that there has been a recent management change but short of spending a fortune to bring the rooms up to standards, this place is in for a hard time. more

Nice people, great room with microwave and fridge for $70 with beautiful views of the mountains. The HOT pool is a wonderful experience and give a great break after a day of visit (or work for business travelers). Out of the regular hotels downtown, this one is really the one if you want something a little bit different!!! more
