Needing to be near Manzanita my wife found this place on the web. We booked based on their site, unfortunately we didn't read these reviews first. The room was VERY small, Very noisy from others directly over our head (7' ceiling), no ice, no anything. Dispite the website having no mention of 'smoking' we did note that an email from... more

First of all, the restaurant here is outstanding. Truly. The filet mignon dinner entree rocked my world (and I've traveled most of this world). It was simply one of the best meals I've ever had, anywhere. Period. The room I stayed in, the Rioja, was lovely. But there is a problem with noise. It has a connecting door to the... more

Following up on the recommendation of friends, we spent two days at the Nehalem River Inn (Check out their website for details). Our selection of accomodation, the Champagne Cottage, was secluded, cozy, and nicely decorated, though the spa needed a bit of rework and caulking. A deck overlooking the river would have provided a wonderful place to sip coffee and... more

We stayed in the Bordeaux Suite, which turned out to be a daylight basement unit. Bedroom had one window to the west, sitting room/kitchen had one window to west, small window to north. All other walls were blank. "View" was of a dairy pasture across a small creek, bucolic but hardly inspiring. Fewer parking spaces on the property than there... more

We drove to the Coast w/o reservations - from Vancouver BC. No place to be had in Cannon Beach or Manzanita but nice lady in one Inn directed us to Nicole and Ryan's place - are we ever glad she did! We were a bit hesitant about eating dinner there but decided to take a chance - heartened to see... more

Have never stayed at the Inn, but have eaten there about 10 times. Everyone we've taken there wants to go back. As good as the top restaurants in Portland (or anywhere else). Superior local ingredients. Excellent preparations -- creative but no bizarre combinations. Spinach and arugala salad a must. Wonderful scallops, filet mignon, and fish. To-die-for desserts. Portions seem a... more

We had our second outstanding meal at the Nehalem River Inn this summer. The hosts are very hospitable and the food is excellent. The dining room has recently been remodeled and is very nice. Don't miss this one while visiting the Oregon Coast! more

The Nehalem River Inn is under new management, and it shows. We've driven past the place several times in the last ten years, and have never been impressed enought to stop. Then, we spent two nights in the inn this past weekend. In a word, WOW! The property has been remodelled extensively. Our room was small but comfortable and well-appointed,... more

Please disregard the review on Nov. 2003! The new owners are awesome. The food was the best I had ever eaten! There are still some kinks to work out, but I am confident Nicole and Ryan will create a fabulous Inn. They will be making renovations this winter that I am sure will make our next stay even MORE enjoyable.... more

The new owners are working really hard to overcome the previous owners lack of customer care. Our stay was really nice and many changes are being made. All new linen, towels and the addition of bicycles for the quest to use. The food is great and the service was wonderful. more
