My trip to Newport was wonderful except for the stay at the Days Inn. I can't believe that the photos on the web are of the same hotel! I was quoted $66 on the website and charged $88 when I arrived. Nothing like the website photo; more like Budget Inn. Decent enough if you don't mind the overpowering smell of Lysol to cover the smoking odor. View is of the parking lot. Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in January 2007. The price was cheap and the accomdations were decent. Moreover, the place was well managed, clean, comfortable, and roomy. more

Perfect little hotel in beautiful Newport. Make sure you visit the Lighthouse (about 4 miles north). The rooms are clean with coffee machines, microwave and fridge. You can walk up the road to a supermarket and the bay and Pacific are just a few blocks away. The room has no view but who cares. more
