Close to Newport, Oregon, a charming working port. Don't miss Nye Beach, small and charming. Newport Aquarium is a must see. Yaquina Bay is worth the scenic drive as far as you want to drive, but at least to Oregon Oysters and on to Toledo. My wife and I have been regular vacationers to the Oregon coast for 30-plus years. This Year, a friend from work recomended the Starfish point, a place we had never been to before, so we booked 2 days there with our 14 year old daughter. We just got back from staying 3 nights at Starfish point. What a experience they provide. Our unit was fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay so comfortable.
