I loved looking out onto the ocean and leaving the patio door partly open to listen to the sounds of the ocean. The view from my second floor room was so wonderful. The TV reception wasn't good but who cared at such a beautiful place. more

I booked the room back when it was "House on A Hill" and there was no website. Upon arriving the view from the cliffs WAS breathtaking. The view fromJanet's Room was great although not toward the rocks but the beach. My husband felt it was not clean....perhaps it was the "artist touch" and the obvious"homeyness" of the aged furniture and... more

Thank you for visiting us, SueLyn. We enjoy offering our guests an "unplugged" ocean retreat...and understand that experience isn't for everyone. The quality of clean is so imporant to us! We are sorry to hear that the room felt anything less than sparkling to you. Our recent staffing changes have left us a little behind, but we remedying that. Perhaps...

The view from the room is stunning. The staff was enthusiastic about making sure we knew about the facility and the area. My wife had a massage arranged by the staff, while I enjoyed the sauna. The bed was very comfortable. The room (Forest Room) was snug but suitable for two. No television, which was fine with us. We would... more

I had difficulty with the rating system above so let me say this is a very good hotel with clean rooms and excellent service. We can't wait to go back. The bunkhouse room is perfect for young families, even two families that want to save money and cook their own meals. Great views south and west. Only down side is... more

We'd stayed at the Clifftop Hotel several times before, and liked it well enough; the rooms are fairly bare-bones, but the view from the clifftop is great. This time, though, the hotel was under new management. The two women who own the hotel had decided to turn it into a "spa/yoga retreat" and to do so had taken out television... more

What an awesome place to stay!!! All rooms have an amazing view of the ocean - the waves come in three directions at once! I have never seen such a breathtaking view, and I felt like a rich person, staying in such an wonderful motel! Yet the rates were very resonable, especially with views like that! The people who manage... more

Reading through all the reviews has me confused. Some state the noise was bad, poor amenities, etc... I don't think the Clifftop is intended to be an all inclusive resort. What it is, is peace and relaxtion. "No TV's"... thank God! "Noise"... nothing but the ocean. I loved our stay here. The view was to die for! The room was... more

I have visited other Oregon seaside towns and this was a unique experience. The clifftop has a priceless view of the ocean. The beach is smooth and clear and is a great place for a walk. The manager was very welcoming and helpful, pointing out the natural landmarks that can be seen from the vantage point of the inn and... more

My wife and I stayed over the fourth of July weekend. This was our second visit to the Clifftop. Even thought it's hard to beat the view, we will never stay there again. First of all, at $140.00 a night, one would expect the hotel to have a tv. NOT. The owners decided to remove all the tv sets because... more

My wife and I stayed at the Clifftop for a mini vacation to relax, enjoy the beach and town, and to give our dogs a chance to play in the sand. When we first arrived and were shown our room, we were amazed at the view. Our room (and all of the rooms, as far as I could tell) have... more
