I have stayed at this hotel before and decided to stay again and wrote a review of my earlier stay. This hotel is located on Broadway in a prime shopping area (Nordstrom, Macy's, Banana Republic, St. John, Columbia, Nike, etc.). The front desk staff is extremely friendly. My only negative experience is with the woman who works at the concierge... more

Valet persons were attentive which was important as there is not much room to pull up in front. They were a little late with the car the second morning, but were apologetic. The room service person was the best I've ever encountered - "Carl". He brought me a dinner and two breakfasts and was very personable, lightning fast, and accurate... more

First of all I had a rental car and went to valet it one night of the several I was to be in Portland. When I pulled up the desk staff and bell men were no where to be and I was stuck double parked with a bunch of town cars (see latter in the story) were parked right against... more

We were in Portland for a sports event and found this hotel to be a fabulous place to stay for 4 nights of fun. We stayed on the 9th floor facing the main street and it was very quiet (no traffic noise) at any time of our stay. Although, our room was close to the elevator, and we could definitely... more

We always try to stay here when travelling to Portland. The location is great and the hotel has reduced its price because of the recession. more

I walk out of the hotel and the bellmen always want to know where I'm going. I come back and the bellmen ask me if they want me to arrange transportation to the airport. I tell them when I'm ready I will have it arranged. I wasn't worried there were 3 taxis parked across the street. Then when I really... more

We were looking for a one night romantic get away after a long holiday visit to relatives. Marriot is ok, but if you want something worth the price, this is not it. We were given a room with a terrible smell. Had a hassle moving and it took a long time. Also right next to elevator which was noisy. Carpets... more

I stayed here just because it was the least expensive hotel I could find downtown. Still expensive at $150 a night but the location is solid. Two blocks north of Pioneer Square and rail access to the airport, good walking distance for getting around downtown. I did not have a car. Room was very clean and comfortable, desk service was... more

I flew during the mid evening into Portland International airport and took the Tri Met light rail into downtown Portland. One of the stops of the light rail is at Pioneer Square, just a couple of blocks to the Marriott City Center. I received a good welcome and received a quiet room as requested. The room was clean and average... more

We stay here a couple of times a year and enjoy the hotel. The only negative is the restaurant. Our last stay was typical. We went down for breakfast and waited at the hostess station which is next to the bar. After 5 minutes no hostess. Another person in line asked the bartender if it was seat yourself. Bartender replied,... more
