The front desk was friendly and hospitable. The rooms were clean and fresh. We checked in twice within a week and found the level of service consistent. The beds were comfortable, the pillows could have been fluffier but okay after a long day. The only "fault" was the missing shampoo the first time we checked in but was all okay... more

The hotel was nice overall. The Beds however were like sleeping on a brick. My back still hurts. They were the firmest beds I have ever slept on, bring your own pillow top mattress cover. They people @ the front desk were nice until they saw we booked our room on Price Line. Then it seemed like night & day.... more

The Paramount Hotel in downtown Portland Oregon was once at the center of shopping and good restaurants. It is as if the entire hot shopping and dining scene has migrated to the Northwest district and the Paramount is stuck in a forgotten section of town. Perhaps the hotel doesn't recognize this as they offer no self parking and the valet... more

Good stay. Nice location, nice lobby, nice rooms. On WiFi being free or not: it is confusing. When you check in, they tell you it's complimentary at the front desk. When you get to your room, TV advertisements says it costs. So we called front desk to clarify. Turns out, they haven't updated their room advertisements....it is free afterall, you... more

We sponantiously checked into the Paramount after checking out of another hotel due to a poor experience. The front desk was friendly from the get-go and upon hearing of our situation gave us a non-requested complimentary room upgrade. I have stayed at the Paramount a couple of times and the rooms are spacious for this newer generation of hotel. Quality... more

The room was a good size and the location is great but they charged us a $50 pet fee which I think is outrageous. They said it was because they have to steam clean the carpets after a pet stays in the room but our carpet was already dirty. They charge $29 to park which is too high so we... more

We stayed at the Paramount for three nights. After a check-in procedure that did not go as smoothly as it should have, we settled in. Our room was lovely -- good decor, great bed linens, large bathroom with good amenities and fast internet access. Although there is an active construction project across the street from the hotel, we were not... more

This was my third time staying at the Paramount. We stayed for Rose Festival. It is a chain hotel but it definitely can rise to the ocassion needed. In 2006 I had my wedding at the Portland Chinese Garden. The rooms are large for my bridesmaids to get ready. Bell staff received flowers and had them ready for the room.... more

Just returned from a business trip to Portland, and spent 3 nights at the Paramount Hotel. Overall I would say the hotel is average---nothing bad, but nothing to really distinguish itself from the other hotels in the area. The most important issue right now that the hotel has no control over is the huge construction site that is directly across... more

I've stayed at several downtown properties in Portland and very was disappointed in the Paramount. The Executive room was depressingly minimal. The bed was extremely hard and low to the floor. The nice design appointments were just missing making the room feel banal and stark. Bedside lamps were plugged into outlets several feet away from the nightstand so the cords... more
