Found this hotel amongst a ton of others in Portland and chose it because it was different. The decor is fabulous, bowls of taffy on the tables in the dining room. Thank you and very well said! We’ve gone to great lengths to avoid being one of the “pastel and polyester” hotels-- from art to carpet and bed to bathroom-- everything you see inside is meant to mirror the eclectic experience of Portland itself. We’re glad you had such a great stay.
I stayed in a spacious, third-floor, king-bed “suite” for two nights in late October 2009. Making the reservation and checking in and out were easily conducted, and the front desk staff could not have been more accommodating. You really can feel like you live in portland if you stay here since while close to downtown and attractions, you're in a real neighborhood....a nice one at that. Following up on a good rating by TripAdvisor, we checked into the Inn Northrup Station for a few nights. The hotel is very convenient to local shopping and eating areas but most importantly the Portland Trolley (free with pass from hotel) stops right in front of the hotel. Stayed at the Inn for 4 nights in November, 2007 while on a business trip in the Northwest. The rooms are brightly and interestingly designed. They have small balconies, which I desire in a hotel. I stayed in room 306 which had a nice view of the street. Very comfortable bed and furniture. more
It seems even two years later you still thought highly enough of your colorful room, comfortable bed, and convenient balcony to write this review! We're thrilled about that because whether you’re here for four days, forty, or only one, we always aim to make a lasting, positive impression.
This hotel was definitely the best hotel in our long travel in West Coast. The room was clean and spacious. They offer free parking, free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Although this hotel is a bit far from the downtown, they gave us free streetcar tickets so that it was easy to access the downtown. more

Stayed at Inn Northrup Station for several days last March, The funky decor is fun.
