Not you typical business hotel - rather a rock'n roll hotel with live music every night. Request a quiet room if you want to retire early. Rooms are a bit small - and the place is NW funky. Location is great - close to the Oregon Convention Center; adjacent to a great restaurant - Le Pigeon. The hotel restaurant and... more

The easiest way to describe the Jupiter Hotel? For a night of eating, drinking and rocking out, it rules; not so much if you're looking for a nice senior citizen weekend getaway. The Doug Fir Restaurant & Lounge and The Jupiter make for a great, safe all in one trip night out package. All the staff I encountered at The... more

My wife and I stayed here for a night as we were traveling through PDX. The rooms are small and painfully hip but you can see how this hotel was once a crash pad for Meth-heads (just go around the corner and ask them about it). We loved that it was so close to Doug Fir restaurant and lounge with... more

We've stayed here for the Portland Tango Fest for past 3 years. The place is really perfect. Its clean, cozy, & convenient. The adjoining restaurant and outdoor patio with open fire pit offer great food and ambiance. Didn't have any problems with noise. Staff was very helpful. more

We booked the Jupiter hotel on the recommendation of a friend, but it was way cooler than we expected. The doors are chalkboards, which is very fun - and we totally loved leaving each other funny notes! One of the walls was a mural photograph of a forest. The staff was very young & hip. They even left a condom... more

This was our second stay at the Jupiter and we love it. It's not for everyone though, and if you're not up for a room in a hotel connected to a music venue with a "no noise after 1AM rule", or if the younger set (twenty-somethings) with piercings, long hair, tattoos, and attitudes frighten you, seek refuge elsewhere. If you're... more

the jupiter is cool! nicely designed, uncommon hotel style, cool environment. There's a trendy bar just right to the rooms, so don't expect your room to be quiet until late in the night (and it's depend on the day, of course). Go there if you plan to stay away until late --- don't go there if you need an early... more

the jupiter is a seedy motel renovated into a higher end seedy motel. this place is great if you are looking for an all night party and a one night stand with the guy in the room next door. The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms have not been updated from its motel days except for a new shower curtain and... more
