We stayed here one night for a family wedding in Salem and I wasn't expecting much but I was plesantly surprised! The room was spacious and clean and the beds were pillow-top like-very cushy and comfy! They also had free breakfast the next morning before we checked out which included eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy--not just your usual coffee... more

We were just looking for a place to sleep between travel locations and this hotel provided just that. Clean, spacious rooms with a microwave and mini-fridge were better than we expected. Location right off I-5 made it easy to access, but the road noise was louder than I thought it would be (rooms face I-5 and doors don't block out... more

For a very low price, this hotel was incredible. Rooms were huge with modern decor (no tacky floral prints!). Very large indoor swimming pool with kiddie pool attached with fountain in the middle. Pool was a little cool at first but fine once you got used to it. Hot tub was quite big as well. Exterior of hotel was a... more

Found this motel via an internet search, and after reading reviews about it, and comparable other potential places to stay. Had an excellent stay, with zero problems. Asked for an upper room and received a lower. This was no problem until the second night, when some heavy footed travelers checked in after 10 p.m. The soundproofing in that aspect is... more

We chose this spot because it was pet friendly. The creepy part was one of the locks on the door--it was screwed in with a piece of wood, shabbily--with a lousy cord to pull over the door handle. That gave me an uneasy feeling of who must be lurking around outside--they could have done a much better way of installing... more

Having spent the entire day exploring the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood, we were exhausted and ready for a much needed good nights sleep. After consulting our AAA tourbook we opted to stop at the Black Bear Inn to check on availability for the evening. Rooms were available and we opted for a room on the first floor. This... more

I picked this place because the pool pictures looked enticing. I was looking forward to a swim, and perhaps a sauna. The establishment itself was...well, marginally okay. It's not seedy, just very much in need of a renovation. The folks at the front desk were friendly, and the bear statues everywhere were cute. But the room was very tired-looking, with... more

I would rate this place as marginal, at best. The noise level is incredible. We were fortunate enough that the weather was hot, so our air-conditioner was so loud it almost overcame the traffic noise. This was the worst night's sleep I have gotten in a few years. Ah well, I won't make the same mistake again. more

The room at this hotel was such a disappointment. I think if it hadn't have smelled so badly we might have enjoyed it. We stayed for one night in a ground level room. The room was older but spacious with a small table to sit at with two chairs. The bathroom had a window. Unfortunately, the room smelled like sewage.... more

We booked this last minute due to a bad experience at our pre visit stay. Hotel has quick access to food, freeway. Freeway noise wasn't bad at all. Staff was friendly, Pool area decent, you will need different keys for everything though. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day. There is a new Dennys with a Fred Meyers... more
