12 blocks from the busy part of Seaside so it's nice to be able to escape the crowds but not too far from all the excitement either. Oceanfront rooms with full kitchen amenities. I liked room 142 as it had two TV's for the bedroom and living area. It's not a five star hotel, but it was clean with lots... more

We had just one night to stay on the coast and I wanted a beach front room. All of the downtown hotels were booked as there was a basketball tournament in town. We tried one last place, Tides by the Sea , which is about a mile south of downtown Seaside. The room was beautiful, clean, oceanfront, quiet and very... more

The Tides are located just under a mile from "downtown" Seaside, and as such, are in a quiet location. There is nothing between the buildings and the beach except a buffer area, so it is a short walk to the beach. I really liked coming here, because i get so tired of cramped motel rooms, and here we have lots... more

When looking for a place to stay in Seaside Oregon the Tides has seen its moment in the sun (or in Oregon’s case the mist). It is encircled by newer establishments and has not risen up to take advantage of its prime location. The rooms were aged and while some improvements were evident it was obvious that the care had... more

We had a great time at Tides by the Sea in June of 2007. Our family included mom, dad, a 18 month old, 3 yo and a teenager. We rented an upper floor end unit that had two bedrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked, the views were incredible - both straight out to the ocean and through the living room... more

We just got back from a weekend getaway at the Tides by the Sea. First impressions were great. We had an oceanfront room with amazing views, and the pool looked fantastic. Our room was complete with a seperate bedroom, full kitchen and a cozy fireplace. The main problem we encountered was the noise. The walls are paper thin and you... more

I have stayed at the Tides numerous times during the past 12 years. It was initially a great girlfriend hang out. The seven of us had a great time in unit 169. We loved the size of the unit and the upstairs that has a couple queen beds and an ocean view.Since I got married my husband and I have... more

We stayed here for 4 nights for $90/night this past June which was an excellent rate for the upstairs corner room with panoramic views of the ocean. Our room had a small kitchen, completely stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. a dishwasher, microwave, etc. The views from the dining room were awesome. The room also had a fireplace and a complete... more

The Tides by the Sea was very disappointing. We had booked our stay for our family (3 adults and 2 kids) after reading positive online reviews. When we arrived, our first impressions were bad, and were sustained throughout our stay. The facilities are old (ca. 1900) and in poor repair. The exterior walls are decayed and in need of paint... more

Our family absolutely loved our stay! We have 2 children, ages 10 & 5 and they both had a great time. We reserved a one bedroom condo (with a sleeper sofa) on the upper floor with a view of the ocean. You could've just sat in the condo all day watching the surf, it was so nice. One of the... more
