We stayed in an Ocean View room which allowed for a great sunset view from the room one cool evening. We do not mind the rustic and well used accommodations but the bedding and tub really left a negative impression. If we’re back in Yachats, we’ll definitely seek out other lodging. For the price of the room, the bed should... more

My Wife and I wanted to stay somewhere nice for our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and chose a cabin at The Shamrock for two nights. We stayed in cabin #2. We were charged $178 per night with a $30 per night charge for our dog. The room smelled extremely strong of creosote from the firepit, and there was no way to... more

Shamrock rocks went there to enjoy the beach, have some hot romance, fly kites, and just get away....The service was excellent, the rooms were filled full house and never heard a peep in our room......loved that they allowed dogs however mine was not with me.....but I so will return with my kids and my dogs it was hands down just... more

We loved the location of these lodgettes and the room we stayed in was cute. The view was great and the beach was accessible. We stayed in one of the "rooms" and it faced the ocean so we got to see a beautiful sunset. The room had everything we needed. The only complaint we had was that the bed was... more

I noticed some negative reviews for the Shamrock Lodgettes a couple of weeks prior to our vacation and almost changed our plans of where to stay. But, I decided to trust my initial instinct and stick with our original plan - and I'm glad I did. My wife and I stayed in one of the newer spa cabins. The bed... more

Read Trip Advisor review of place that it was a good value and nice. True. Variety of units-- cabins, motel rooms. Easy walk to beach right in back. We had end motel unit- very spacious with tall ceiling, picture window, kitchen with stove, small fridge, sink. Quiet. Kinda kitschy nautical decor. Adequate fitness spa in central building- hot tub, shower... more

We were there for two nights in one of the new spa cabins. The setting was very cool, and the cabin was clean and well enough appointed. One disappointment, we couldn't tell from the online photo, but the spa tub was really only large enough to comfortably soak one person, even if the couple enjoys a committed closely bonded relationship. more

This place is way past its prime. Basically this is a very dated motel separated into smaller portions. Some rooms are in blocks of 5 or so rooms making up one building; others are entirely individual. In either case the place is very dated, moldy, smokey and appointed poorly. The location, which is lovely, is not lived up to by... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in July of 2008. The location is great. You can walk into town for dinner. There are amazing tidepools just across the bay. The beach access is easy. The national forest is also very close. The room we had was filled with mold. I was sick for two days. It was dark and dirty.... more

Two years ago we stayed at the Shamrock for our anniversary. We got one of the spa cabins with a wood burning fireplace and king sized bed. We were able to bring out dog for a small fee, the bed was cozy, the fireplace was fantastic and the view just gorgeous. The spa left a lot to be desired as... more
