We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a family 'getaway'. On arrival, the front desk staff was very efficient and very nice. The room was a bit stuffy and had an odd odor. It was hard to tell if it was some kind of freshener or just a musty smell. It did get better with the A/C on.... more
This hotel sits very near the PA turnpike so is easy to get to. However, if you can't take noise, request a room opposite the turnpike. The rooms are quite spacious, however they could certainly be cleaner. We had "entertainment" while using the bath facilities. I have been visiting my elderly parents in Oakmont twice a year for about six or seven years now, and I have tried most of the hotels across the river in Harmarville. Very Typical Holiday Inn Express------recently renovated. Our room was just the average 2 bedroom Holiday Inn Express. TV had a large variety of channels and HBO available, 2 phones. Stayed two nights in a huge suite- king bed with living area/two tv's with extended cable. Excellent customer service, clean room and public areas, fresh breakfast, very quiet.
