Based upon comparison-shopping on the web for nearby establishments and stays earlier this year about 45 minutes away, I'd say our recent stay at the Brandywine River Hotel (BRH) cost nearly double what it should have. My mother and I stayed at teh Brandywine River Hotel for two nights recently, to visit local attractions such as Winterthur and Longwood Gardens. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. I find it consistently clean, with the staff friendly and welcoming. We loved this hotel for its location and hospitality. It was very reasonable clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations. After a long day in the car it was great to walk to dinner and there were several restaurants options. We has an excellent dinner at The Bistro. more

I stay at this property with my teen kids several times a year. We return because it's safe, clean and close to Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum and Brandywine Parks.
