These individuals do not tell you when you make reservations, but there is a cancellation fee if not cancelled at least 48 hours ahead of arrival. They do not tell you this when you make the reservation nor do they tell you when you cancel the reservation. We were charged as a no-show for the first night of the reservation... more

I have stayed at the Lodge three times since April, 2009. Two times as a single and once with my daughter and grandson. Rooms are comfortable, clean and the view of the lake is breathtaking (if you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms with the view -- one visit was a view of the woods). Staff is... more

I would have no hesitation staying here again. I booked here because of the proximity to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob - it is about 20 minutes to either, and great if you booked a morning "in-depth" tour. The rooms are in small groups of pre-fab buildings stuck together, so it is not a conventional motel, but was easy to find... more

Stayed hear solo 2 nights while touring Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Rooms are very basic--just a handful of cable channels and no coffeemaker, which made the mornings a little tough for this caffeine addict. But there is a small fridge and microwave--beds are comfortable and room was very clean. Best part was the deck overlooking a large lawn and nice... more

After reading some of the reviews on this site and having recently stayed at the Lodge, I was pleasantly surprised. You simply cannot beat the location (near Ohiopyle and Uniontown), beauty of the grounds (little lake, walking trails, playground, volleyball) and price (under $90) for this place. Yes, the 1970's decor could stand to be remodeled, but at least it... more

Stayed here while visiting Falling Water (20 min), Kentuck Knob (10 min). It is a cabin style motel but very clean and relaxing. Rooms have a walk out patio where you can look at the small lake. Staff are all friendly. Would stay again. more

The Lodge at Chalk Hill is set in the middle of rolling countryside and is set by a large lake. Rooms are joined chalet based and basic. Two double beds, tv, fridge, a/c Small bathroom. Deck area out the back - some rooms had some very tired plastic furniture. Depending on where your chalet is located you could have lovely... more

Over all not a bad place to stay for a night, however the rooms could stand some remodeling work and improvements, the bathrooms in a regular room are very small also the rooms could stand some updates more
