We stayed one night at the Econo Lodge in Clarks Summit. This was rated a Gold Award establishment. Although I believe they are remodeling, we were definitely NOT in a remodeled room. The room was quite large, but the odor was unbearable and there were fingerprints all over the tables. The air conditioning did not work well. The bathroom is... more

This is a nifty little motel tucked into the side of the mountain along a busy commercial strip in Clarks Summit, PA, north of Scranton. The motel is basic, but in decent shape. Our king bed room was recently renovated. The tub and shower enclosure was a faux-granite and the vanity was new. Shower pressure and temperature were good. The... more

My mom and I were going away for the weekend to check out some new sights, and we booked our first night at the econo lodge. We got there around 10:30 at night, got our key, and checked out the room. The first thing I did (thank goodness) was pull back the blankets to check out the sheets. To say... more

We decided to stay here after reading about all the awful reviews about the Econolodge Scranton. This was no better. Rooms were pretty cramped and dark feeling, towels were surprisingly small and uncomfortable, beds were stiff. The worst part, however, was that there were bed bugs. I've never had a problem and now a week after my stay I am... more

We stopped her overnight traveling from VA to NY. We had reserved the last king room. The room was crowded but acceptable. We asked to move to a room with a balcony but were informed that they were all booked. Our room did not have a tub but the shower looked new and clean. The linens were clean and the... more

I loved the Econo Lodge and if anyone wants to go, GO! It was the best place I have ever been in my life! It was better than my house and I got the best service in the whole world! I liked the free breakfast and free internet the most andthe desk was already ready for Christmas and all of... more

The property is modest and nothing fancy, but our room with king bed was more than adequate for only $50 or so (AAA rate). There was a little dust, but the bathroom was clean and decent, nice hot shower, hair dryer. TV worked fine. The continental breakfast consisted of honey buns, white toast and little donuts, cereal, milk, coffee, apple... more

We had a big room, with a little balcony. The room was not the cleanest, but not the worst. The plumbing needs work--we had to use a plunger on the toilet a couple of times. Breakfast was slim and there is only one table. more

We were traveling late Sunday from our annual business trip to the northeast, and looking for the best place to stay near Scranton, PA in order to visit with friends in Laceyville, PA the following morning before continuing our drive back to Texas. We travel by car extensively every year, and have stayed at multiple chains and individually owned properties.... more

Adequate says it all. Rooms had a stale odor, 1 table in lobby for the breakfast. We had to be moved to another room because the 1st room we were in smelled awful. I should know you get what you pay for. This stay will probably keep me from staying at another Econo Lodge anywhere. more
