Lorna and I picked Langley Castle for our wedding venue and we weren't disappointed, the setting was amazing and the staff helped make our day very special indeed. As well as our wedding, we decided to have two nights in one of the signature suite's, we were sorry to leave and wished we could have stayed longer, but all good things have to come to and end, but we're looking forward to a return visit, hopefully in the not to distant future.

This is a boutique castle hotel. We stayed in the the Greenwich room in the castle, which was very impressive. It had an additional dressing room with a huge lit Hollywood movie star mirror and dresser which my wife loved. The bathroom was large and superbly fitted out. The staff here are efficient and polite without being overly friendly. They feel like a family unit and nothing is too much effort for them. The restaurant is good. We ate from their fine dining menu and their casual menu and both meals were very good. The grounds are small but lovely and the communal areas in the castle are well furnished in a medieval fashion but contemporary fashion. The castle rooms are not cheap but they are of a high quality with a certain wow factor.

You cannot fail to be impressed as you approach the castle up the steep driveway and once inside, you are met with friendly yet professional staff members who will tend to your every need; within reason of course! We used the venue as a place to meet a friend, where we could relax in the impressive main hall over coffee and then partake in a light lunch. So amazing is the place, we asked if we could be given a tour and were obliged by an extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable member of staff who regaled us with the history of the building and it’s occupants. It really was the icing on the cake and made our visit so much more special. Thank you to all.

How often do you stay in a place where you cannot find fault? Rarely. Langley castle is a wonderful experience. Every member of staff was relaxed, friendly and accommodating. All the rooms felt plush and maintained to a high standard. We had a family meal in the conservatory and the experience was a joy. The castle and the rooms were immaculately clean. The breakfast at 7.30am was perfect and the staff were cheerful and efficient. The castle is genuinely dog friendly. The size and layout make it effortless to holiday with your furry friend.

We stayed for the weekend in the Tindale room, with its 4 poster it was very comfortable . The grounds are very nice and we saw the Peacocks high in the trees. The bar in the drawing room is really nice and comfortable too , more so after visiting Craster for the day walking and also visiting Hexham Abbey on the way back. The restaurant, breakfast and the evening meals were very good indeed , the second evening we had the fine dining and I recommend the Sea bass with prawn ravioli (outstanding). We shall return !

I recently went with my wife, we stayed in a room that was big but had an old room smell. Wasn’t that clean as lots of the furnishings were old feeling. The castle was amazing for evening meal which was perfect and faultless. Overall we thought it was a nice place but a dated room and although good we thought it could have been better. The staff were very good and very professional.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. Furnishing a 600-year-old castle indeed presents a unique challenge and can be quite subjective, when balancing the historical authenticity with modern comfort which I'm sure one understands can be quite intricate and of course, much of the furniture carries its own story. I sincerely hope that your stay at Langley Castle was otherwise enjoyable and you remember your experience for the castle itself, your delightful evening meal and our wonderful team rather than furniture.

We had a lovely relaxing stay in the tower room. It’s right at the top so you do have 101 steps to climb but worth it. The room is one of the smallest but is cosy and warm . The four poster bed is very comfortable. Lovely views when looking out of the window seat. The bathroom does not have a bath but has a large shower. We opted for the fine dining and very please we did as we both found it lovely , as was the breakfast. All staff were very friendly and welcoming, the lady on reception sorry can’t recall her name was very helpful and friendly had a nice chat about the area and wildlife. Lots of peacocks around and during our stay seen they sleep in the trees. The castle tour is definitely worth doing very informative. Overall we had an amazing stay for our night away in a castle. Will definitely be back to stay .

My friends and I had afternoon tea today in the Drawing Room at Langley Castle today. A beautiful room which was lovely and warm and very welcoming. The staff were fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made the experience exceptional as did the 2 young ladies on reception. The food itself was tasty and plentiful, I ended up with a doggy bag to bring home. Refills of the teapot at no extra cost. I would highly recommend a visit here they certainly get a 10/10 from me.

Arranged a night in one of the castles feature rooms with afternoon tea and evening meal. All round a fantastic experience. the only constructive criticism I could offer was that I arranged for a birthday cake to be left in the room. The cake was amazing but no plates or cutlery were provided to eat it with, overall it was an amazing stay. Thank you to the staff for helping make my wife's birthday so special.
