This is one place you should definately stay away from. The outside property is not maintained and weeds growing everywhere. There were rat traps located in main view. The lobby had cracked ceramic tile flooring, peeling wall paper and a water stained ceiling. The room was just as bad. There is no tub - only shower stall that had rusted... more

The allure of this place is that it touts being close to Hershey Park and the price is right being cheaper than the other surrounding hotels. What it really amounts to is a serious dump that has unfriendly staff, a serious mold problem and damp carpets because they cant regulate the indoor temperatures correctly. This hotel was DIRTY and full of cobwebs and spiders!! I don't think they even have a cleaning staff. We had to be moved out of our first room because it was full of spiders and one of them was HUGE. Just returned from a 3 day weekend in Pennsylvania. Went to visit the Hershey Spa however all hotels in hershey were booked so we stayed nearby in Harrisburg at the Howard Johnson. Rooms are ok, BUT front desk agent was completely clueless, took him 20 minutes to check us in and then billed my credit card twice. Now I'm trying to correct their billing error and they are less than helpful with correcting their error. Worst experience ever! Do NOT stay here, and DONT give them your credit card! more
