In the vicinity of the Airport, I always stay at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East. The staff usually greets me by name and are very pleasant. The hotel offers a great location, a great tavern/restaurant. The food is well prepared and with reasonable portions. Pools were good, Room was clean, People were very nice. Playground for kids was great. Very close to Hershey about 10 minutes. Good VALUE FOR THE MONEY. We went with two kids 8 and 5. Rooms were big, and staff was nice. I'm going back next year. more

We decided to stay at the Holiday Inn East Harrisburg since it was close to Hershey and convenient to get to.....that being said, there is nothing else in its favor. the lobby is nice, but as you walk down the hallway to the rooms it gets dark and dingy very quickly. Although we didn't start out with enough towels or coffee, the staff were quick to make things right. If you are a late sleeper, make sure to put the do not disturb sign out as housekeeping was ready to go at 8:00 am. this hotel states on their website that they had just completed a 7 million dollar renovation I think they missed some things, the carpet in the hallways were filthy, there was balls of hair in the indoor pool, the first room we were in had a pop bottle under the bed and the doors were filthy we moved to another... more

The cost was too much for what you got. The rooms were ok but need upgraded. The outside steps need lighting. We got home rather late that evening and was difficult to see where you were going.
