Booked for one night to recover from jetlag before trip down to Devon. Owners, as mentioned in all posts, were very kind and pleasant! Easy access from Amesbury high street. We stayed for one night in August, en route to Salisbury. We were very impressed by everything about this hotel. Splendid listed building, nice lounge and bar (good whiskeys), comfortable room, good breakfast. And most of all, very pleasant and efficient owners, with lots of helpful local knowledge. more

Stayed for 3 nights in July with my American fiance. The hotel is very convenient for Stonehenge and Avebury and also for Bath and Salisbury. We had tickets for early admission to Stonehenge. This is highly recommended - you pay a bit more than normal admission, but have access to the stones themselves with only 24 people for an hour.
