We had a wonderful time and generally the staff were very helpful. Lovely location and surrounding gardens very nice. The only problem was we booked an executive room and when the receptionist checked us in I asked if the room we were having was what we booked and she assured me it was. It turned out this was not the... More

The hotel is set in very attractive grounds, mainly lawn, with pleasant views through the leaded pane windows. The building is set back from the road and looks just like a Manor House and oozes charm with a wealth of Elizabethan timbers. The main reception area and guest lounge/s and bar area are very comfortable and warming. We stayed for Dinner... More

My partner and myself have stayed at Stone Manor around six times this year. We love the beautiful location and quiet, friendly atmosphere of the place, which in some respects makes it feel as if you're staying in a family home more than a formal hotel. In the majority of cases the rooms have been excellent, and only on one... More

Spent one night here at the last minute as 1st choice hotel was full for my second night in the area. The room was fine and fairly large but the bathroom was very tired and badly in need of updating. Overall some updating is needed in the rooms which lack character. Dinner was surprisingly good and the wine very reasonable.... More

I, my husband, sister and brother-in-law visited this hotel for a weekend break. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, as were the bedrooms. We both had ones on the ground floor. After the first night, my sister and brother-in-law said they had not slept because the bed kept dipping in the middle and having complained to the receptionist they... More

I stayed there as part of a wedding reception/meal/disco. Positives: Beautiful house & gardens Clean Easily reached from M5 Big rooms Buffet breakfast Negatives: Waited for about 40 minutes after we were seated before anything happened. At this point the 'head waitress' came in and walked around the room telling the waiters what tables they should serve. The starter was... More

Thank you for your recent review on Trip Advisor following you attending a Wedding with us. Another couple and I and husband had a very comfortable [3 nights for the price of two ] stay here last week. Contrary to some of the previous reviews we had lovely spacious rooms on the ground floor - seemed to be recently decorated with pristine paintwork - very clean as was the large bathroom with plenty of thick towels... We stayed here for one night after attending our friends wedding reception which was held in the hotel. Reception went off well, weather was great and much use was made of the lovely hotel grounds. This is a traditional hotel set around an old manor house. The original building is charming and the various added on wings have been sympathetically done. Room was... More
