First impressions were that it needed a revamp. The lady on the reception was not particularly interested or helpful when we arrived. This hotel was pretty easy to find and was very close to the airport. We got a relatively good deal for hotel and parking prior to holiday to Vegas. Thank you very much for your comments regarding your recent stay at the Hotel. We are often very busy at weekends as the Bower is extremely popular in the local area for Wedding Receptions. We do try to allocate guests, that are not attending a function a room that is away from any noise, but sometimes this is not possible....
I booked via the hotels' own website as it was the best price. Great value room (same as price as the Premier Inn down the street if you include breakfast). Booked executive double and it was very large (King Size, writing desk, 24in TV, two armchairs, coffee/tea and ironing board/iron) and well decored. As I had to work on stuff... more

Went to a wedding so we had a special deal. Swallow hotels used to be good. This one is tired and needs refurbishment. Both our rooms and our daughters were without hot water from time to time; had to make emergency repairs to the loo system in our room - virtually every time we flushed. Food was mediocre. Any issues you may have had with regards to maintenance in the rooms would have been dealt with promptly by the Duty Manager should they have been notified. Stayed at the Bower following my husband`s retirement party, On arrival given room number, went straight to the room, only to find it looked as though somebody had been having a party in it, bottles all over, the room and bed unmade . Another good stay at this pleasent well located hotel. The staff were amazing - as a single female traveller I spend a lot of time in hotel rooms....but was more than happy to sit in the bar - supping my slightly expensive white wine - but hey ho! - and the staff were so friendly ....Brilliant! nothing was too much trouble! Thank you! more

I am a regular user of this hotel and would like to say that this hotel is excellent value for money. The room I had was as usual spotless, my dinner - the hallibut - I can highly recomend and breakfast is back to its usual good standard. Thank you to the team. more

Stayed at the Swallow Bower whilst on a training course with National Grid Gas staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals were very good with a great menu that covered every taste. The bedrooms are spacious with all facilities to hand, and were kept clean and tidy every day through-out my stay. I am looking forward to my next... more

I stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding 4 years ago and some of the rooms were tired then. Upon our return to visit the friends this Easter, the hotel doesn't seem to have been updated and if anything it looks even more tired and in need of some TLC.
