The Waterside Inn is one of those places that you want to believe exists and can't quite believe it still does. From the moment we booked to stay there the whole place just oozed class. From the moment we arrived (and our car was whisked away to be parked) to the moment we left, they did not put a foot... more

My wife and I stayed here in early July as part of a gastronic safari. The place is a little bit tired but the setting is fabulous and the service (in the main) was good. I always find it strange that upmarket English Hotels and restaurants always seems to have people at the front desk and as Maitre D's who... more

The Waterside is an absolute pleasure, the best of classic french cooking in the most lovely english setting. The rooms are comfortable and strike an easy balance between being plush whilst remaining homely. The staff always remember us, we spent our first valentines day, our wedding night and many subsequent occasions there. Of the all the michelin starred restaurants and... more

This restaurant used to be fantastic but our latest visit showed that it has gone severely downhill. The fact that it hasn't appeared in "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" list since 2005 is no surprise. The whole of our recent experience at The Waterside Inn was awful. There were so many things wrong that I can't really even begin to... more

My husband and I recently got married at the Waterside Inn. We knew that the setting and the food would be great, which they were. What made the everything really wonderful was the staff. Everyone genuinely cared that we would have a perfect day, anticipating our needs before we did but in a relaxed, easy way – not at all... more

Stayed here for one night. The downside our room was expensive at 450 pounds a night! we stayed in the oarsman, a ground floor suite, created out of a river side cottage. For the money, you would have expected a bigger bathroom. Not a bath you have to step into to shower. There is another suite above you, and you... more

Myself and mywife have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Waterside Inn, Bray. We stayed in the "la Tamise" bedroom which shared a private terrace overlooking the Thames. Room was light and airy and very pleasant and spacious. We ate in the 3 Michelin stars restaurant on the Saturday night. The meal was excellent. We had the... more

We booked in at the Waterside Inn for a Saturday night so we could stay after a meal in their Michelin starred restaurant. Unfortunately, our stay at this Relais & Chateaux hotel was anything but peaceful or luxurious. The worst part of the hotel was the staff. I think I can best demonstrate how bad they were with examples. When... more

We visited the Waterside Inn for evening dinner and an overnight stay. I arrived back to reality 2 days ago, yet, i am still blow away by the quality of service this beautiful establishment offers. From the moment you walk through the door it becomes obvious that the number one priority is you and the experience and service you receive.... more

My husband booked us in for dinner and overnight at the Waterside Inn for my 40th birthday in September. We were lucky enough to pick a really beautiful September day so were really able to take advantage of the great setting by the river. There is a fantastic outdoor terrace where we enjoyed a couple of drinks before going back... more
