I'm fairly new to Trip Advisor but some of the reviews surprise me. This is a run-of-the-mill B&B, nothing more. Bridlington doesnt offer many top places and this really should be about half way down anybody's list. The people who own the place do seem to care about their guests. I stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the time at Oakwell very much indeed. Carol and Alix are friendly and helpful,a pleasure to meet. The cooked breakfast was first class, much better than some of those I have had in £50 a night hotels! My room was clean and comfortable with a lovely en-suite and a shower that was all... more

I am not sure I quite go along with the rave reviews for this place. It could do with a lick of paint - looks tired outside, although the rooms are OK. However, as B&Bs go in this town it's about average I would say, with a decent breakfast served for sure. more

The guest house is just a 3 min walk from the Harbour and a parking permit was provided for on street parking outside the property. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the owners are attentive and eager to please. The breakfast is excellent and you have a wide choice of options. At just £25 for a one night stay... more

I can only reiterate what the other reviewers have said. This is an oasis of home comfort. The owners, the rooms, and the food, are of the highest standard, and couldn't be faulted. I will certainly be returning. more

Carole & Alec are very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. There are colour tv's in all rooms and a 42" flatscreen in the lounge. We had a huge english breakfast every morning, dad tried black sausage, I was not so brave. Carole is a very good cook and we looked forward to our breakfast every day. Thanks Carole &... more
