“Amazing wedding venue & excellent staff”

We had our wedding here on 26th April and all we can say is it was the most amazing day. Kath the wedding co-ordinator was fantastic, so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. “Relaxing stay, but rooms need a refurb and update”

Stayed here for 1 night and 2 days as part of a training course. Welcoming staff and a warm reception started the stay off. “Great hotel but bar prices expensive”

Great weekend for wedding stay. reception great. Food and staff excellent. Only downside was the bar prices. How can they justify making 325% mark up on a bottle of Perroni. Asda price per bottle £1. “Good standard hotel twixt Liverpool and Manchester”

Regularly stay at the Thistle, Haydock for business in the area. Reception staff re excellent at remembering who I am. Rooms are well furnished although corridors are a bit tired. Restaurant staff are young and enthusiastic and the quality of food is very good

We stayed here, as we were going to Haydock races, its about a five minute walk to the raceground (and another five minutes walk up the drive) so in a good location (although the holiday inn is a lot nearer!!) and theres nothing else round the hotel like a shop, pub or resturant... “Clean room but microwave food in restaurant”

Stayed on a business trip, room fine, bed comfortable. Restarant however was dire! The food looked like it was microwaved from a plastic packet - I have had better meals in economy on a long distance flight! The reception staff however were very helpful and efficient.
