We decided to book a three day break away to recover owing to two family bereavements this year. This was explained when booking. We arrived at the shabby entrance/foyer and were handed the key to our room. The rooms are in blocks in a courtyard. We entered our room and were transported back to student accommodation of the 1970s (but without... more

Read reviews prevous but were staying with other Family members for a wedding at Boconoc which was magical !! We had 3nights in dark /damp/ poorly lite room.. only good thing was power shower but flooded the floor everytime used. Heating did not work so no where to dry towels or golf kit. We stayed one night as we were visiting the Eden Project and had a family room with a double bed and bunkbeds. The beds were totally comfortable and the room was large, clean, bright and airy. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, the cleanliness (immaculate) and had no complaints whatsoever. See my review of the... more

My new husband and myself stayed here for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. A surprise for him that he would be having a couple of golf lessons, and playing on the course. Actually, this part of the weekend was very good. My main disappointment was that on booking I had been told that a double room was available, assumed... more

We only stayed one night in this hotel as we had travelled down to see Oasis at the Eden project and needed to break our journey. Our rooms were adequate, with the bathrooms being clean but dated. The tiles around the bath had mildew in the grout but on the whole, acceptable. The fan in the bathroom was dreadfully noisy... more

I wonder if the management has changed since the visits of some of the earlier reviewers. Our 6 night stay was a pleasant experience. Our good-sized room in the Granary, nearest to the clubhouse, was fine. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The room and bathroom were bright and clean. The hotel information in... more

We were a bit concerned when we read some of the previous reviews about the hotel and the golf course but we need not have worried as our two night golf break was fine - unlike the weather! The hotel and golf staff were all really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel accommodation was OK, our room in "The Stables"... more

My wife and I stayed overnight having attended a wedding reception at the hotel. Our room was situated in one of the buildings to the side of the clubhouse and it was clean and well appointed. We would recommend the establishment for a quiet and relaxing stay especially as it is close to the Eden Project. more

Read 4 reviews from Aug 2007 before we went and had some worries, but must say we could not agree with any of the complaints. In fact a golf society of 27 stayed 3 nights while we were there and this was their 2nd trip in 4 years.Staff were always cheerful polite and friendly, the room and bathroom was clean... more
